40 Years of Excellence in Education

The College has awarded over 33,600 degrees and certificates since 1968

Pikes Peak Community College opened as El Paso Community College in 1968. Now in its fortieth year of operation, PPCC is a two-year college offering associate's degrees and various certifications in Career and Technical fields. With more than 125 programs of study, PPCC has a proud tradition of helping people get a fresh start - a start toward completion of a degree, a start towards a better job, a start towards a better and more enriching life. Statistics has proven that PPCC students who transfer to local four-year colleges do better than students who start at the four-year college. Small classes taught by professors offer an unparalleled experience for undergraduate students.

We know that there are many different reasons why students decide to come to PPCC. Perhaps you plan to begin an academic career that you intend to continue at a four-year institution. Perhaps you want to pursue occupational training for job and career advancement, or to cultivate a special interest in one of our hundreds of different course offerings. Our students come from all walks of life, all age groups, and all educational and occupational backgrounds. What they share in common is a desire to improve themselves through learning. Whatever your motivation and goals, PPCC is here to serve you.

PPCC has an award-winning Child Development Center located at two campuses; Centennial Campus has a gym and fitness center, and a fitness center is being installed at Rampart Range Campus. A new Multicultural Retention Specialist is here to support minority students. On-site Crisis Counselors are available to assist students experiencing difficulties that are interfering with their studies. Full-service libraries are located at Centennial and Rampart Range Campuses. All campuses offer Enrollment Services, inluding Admissions, Financial Aid, Veterans Affairs, and Records. Students with disabilities will find assistance and support through OASIS, the Office of Accommodative Services and Instructional Support. Student Support Services assist low-income, first generation college students. The Learning Assistance Center provides workshops and extensive tutoring.

You will soon see why Pikes Peak Community College is a great place to begin your educational journey.
